LOS ANGELES
9 am – 4 pm, starts at Pershing Square, 532 S Olive St, LA 90013
REGISTER FOR A FREE TICKET:
Take the train into LA:
Take the Metrolink from San Bernardino (a weekend pass is $10 for a round trip including all transfers) to Union Station, then get on the Metro Red Line to Pershing Square. Trains will be crowded, so it would be a good idea to get on the earliest train that leaves San Bernardino around 7:00 am.
If you are interested in staying in San Bernardino the night before, the La Quinta Inn on Hospitality Lane has rooms for $89 per night.

Parking is FREE on the streets and in public garages on the weekends.
We have several carloads going so far, and plan to go out to lunch somewhere after the march. If you’d like to drive, or hitch a ride, or have a carload going and want to try to meet there, please let me know.
PLEASE REGISTER FOR WHICHEVER MARCH YOU ARE ATTENDING! You can still show up without registering, but it helps them get a head count. LA had 750,000 and Riverside had 4000 last year.
BIG BEAR RALLY IN SOLIDARITY
1 pm – 3 pm on the corner in front of Vons and DIY (no registration needed; just show up!)
If you are unable to attend one of the marches down the hill, please join our friends on the corner in front of Vons and DIY for all or part of the 2 hours to speak out here in Big Bear!
SIGN MAKING PARTY WED, JAN 17 5:30 PM
Please let me know if you’d like to attend and I will send you the directions and details about what to bring.  (Again, if you’re interested contact directly the club, we will forward your contact info to the organizers. This event is held in private home, so we cannot provide direct contact info)
On January 21, 2017 millions of people around the world marched in what was one of the largest demonstrations in political history, with marches in all 50 states and on all 7 continents. A year later, it is even more critical to have our voices (and votes!) be heard. I hope you can be a part of this historic event.
Remember to bring a sign, water, camera and your pink pussy hat!
See you there!

TAKE TO THE STREETS!

Nearly a year ago, hundreds of thousands of people took the streets one day after Trump’s inauguration for Women’s Marches in cities across the globe. People came together for gender justice, reproductive justice, ending sexual violence, and more.

Since then we’ve seen fierce federal attacks on reproductive health, transgender rights, health care access, voting rights, our Muslim communities, and our climate. At the same time, with the explosion of the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements, we’ve seen how organizing builds power for gender justice.

That’s why we are mobilizing our members across the region to participate in the 2nd annual Women’s March. On Saturday, January 20, you can find the ACLU SoCal in Los Angeles, Orange County, and Ventura with our staff, chapter members, and volunteers. When women are under attack, what do we do? RISE UP, FIGHT BACK!

P.S. On Tuesday, January 16, we are hosting a poster making party at our Los Angeles office — RSVP!
